The bulk of the book is a cataloging and history of Deerfield home lots from 1671, but there are also several appendices with further information on houses with irregular floor plans and off-center chimneys, Connecticut and Long Island influences on the architecture of Deerfield, licensing for drink, 18th-century innholders on Deerfield Street, and sources and references.
