These stories grew from our rambles through
Carson Valley and the
surrounding area. And every ramble produced so many questions! What
was that fascinating old building all about? Who used to live in that house?
One by one, we dug out the stories and shared what we’d found in our
history newsletter and blog.
Almost before we knew it, those stories morphed into a book. This book,
to be precise. Because people kept telling us how much they loved these
stories. And all good stories need a place where they can be saved, cherished,
and easily found again.
We hope these tales help you enjoy the remaining traces of the early
pioneers and “early days” here in beautiful Northern
Nevada.
