Oil is the lifeblood of both developed and and developing countries. The presence of it in a country will ensure socio-economic development. However it presence in Cameroon has become a source of political unrest. This is known as the resource curse. To migrate this, the benefits of oil contracts must be used to benefit the oil producing communities and the national will be done by effective follow up of the local content clause.
