Breast cancer is a type of cancer that begins within the breast and can happen either in one or both breasts due to the aberrant growth of cells. Majority of the breast cancers are in situ carcinoma and invasive carcinoma. Symptoms of breast cancer include an increase or decrease in the size of one breast, change in position or shape of nipple, dimpling and puckering skin, rash around nipple and discharge from nipple. Some of the ways that can be adopted to decrease the risk factors of breast cancer are exercising, avoiding cancer-causing activities, such as smoking and drinking, and following a healthy diet. Diagnosis of breast cancer can be done by a biopsy and physical examination of the breasts.
